We are writing to inform our customers of an upcoming change that will impact the pricing of .COM domains. Effective September 1st, 2024, the central registry Verisign will be increasing their wholesale prices for .COM domains.

As a result of this change from Verisign, LaniSys Hosting Canada will need to adjust its retail pricing for .COM domains accordingly. We want to ensure that all of our customers are aware of this forthcoming price increase so you can plan accordingly.

To help mitigate the impact of these higher domain costs, we recommend considering registering or renewing any .COM domains that you are interested in prior to September 1st, 2024. By doing so, you will be able to lock in the current lower pricing before the increase takes effect.

Please note that you can continue to register, renew, or transfer .COM domains to LaniSys Hosting Canada at our current pricing until the September 1st effective date. After that time, our pricing will need to be adjusted to account for Verisign’s higher wholesale costs.
